If It Was All Metal- by: unknown forgotten

Graphite dust blew over the steel plated hills
Metal jagged leaves hung off metal jagged trees
Shrapnel for gravel
Melted iron ore for a river down below
The taste of gold for breakfast

Rusting animals, the signs of old age
Joints creaking, faces oxidizing
Plies of nuts and bolts that walk about
Gold plated young ones, freshly oiled follow behind
Not machines, but living metal
