Reformatting Tomorrow- by: unknown forgotten

The world sleeps
I put on my glasses
To view a broken scattered conversation
Of treason and blaspheme

Talking heads in the corner room
Faced off to the death
I take off my glasses
The world sleeps

Heel to toe
Tip of the hat
And slip the drugs in blood
And dream on, dream on

The same peoples eyes are stapled open
For fear of going to sleep and waking up
They put on their glasses
And the world is wide awake

Eyes plastered and peeled open
To watch the darkness turn to light
See the sun rising on the horizon
We made it through the night

Because what's the point in sleeping
When there's nothing to wake up to?
