What A Time/ A Taste So Good (Two stories in one)- by: unknown forgotten

Not unlike a new beginning
Has this city been so cold
The hearts of the people are frozen
We're all so disturbed
The lamp posts that shine under the rain
Glisten their light onto the showers
The wind sways slowly
Holding the night in it's hand

All this unfamiliar weather
Is affecting my brain
Like a dream I sway slowly in the wind
Frozen hearted indeed
Buried to my knees in the soft soil
But it's not what it's talked up to be

I love this place
It consumes the soul
Though I may turn into birch or pine
The water treats me well

Leaves sprout from my fingertips
Branches burst from sides
The roots run deep down the spine in my back
And from my mouth will flow dark sweet sap

My fruit will be strange
Sweet smelling to the scents
The taste may be captivating
But the after affects will be death

Poisonous fruit
So sweet tasting you eat three in a minute
And writhe in pain until your demise
The taste so good
You lick your fingers 'till death
