Headless Horseman- unknown forgotten
If I were stronger,
I would put so much fear into my truth
That no one would speak to me ever again
I would be fulfilled, triumphant
I would lie to rest at ease
But I am weak,
And bite my own tongue right off
I take harsh words and dig them in
Softening their blow by grasping them tighter
Failing under grace
And sleeping uneasy
Not because I have to
But because it's who I am
If I were stronger,
I would put so much fear into my truth
That no one would speak to me ever again
I would be fulfilled, triumphant
I would lie to rest at ease
But I am weak,
And bite my own tongue right off
I take harsh words and dig them in
Softening their blow by grasping them tighter
Failing under grace
And sleeping uneasy
Not because I have to
But because it's who I am
